What a true legendary and awesome musician and a true friend and a awesome music album. The album is called “Electrified” by the musician Hyram Posey, and wow!! what a tremendous sound, the guy is outstanding and his music is splendid and amazing. As I listened to his album the 1st track on the album is called “Vuja De” and it’s out of this world, the sound that I heard was simply put “holy crap” this is one of those albums that needs to be heard everywhere. Hyram and this album take music to another level and got my ears glued to my speakers. The next song called “Queenies Dream” Hyram has an symphonic sound that is superbly fine and I honestly was in a wow moment as I listened. Hyram’s music takes me to a place where my dreams are. At first I was expecting more twangy and having a western flare to it, but no way this album is just phenomenal and the sound that I heard simply put amazing and I loved it. “Into Africa” is another outstanding song and it seemed as if I was on a journey, taken far away and Hyram helped me get there as my musical guide. “South China Sea” wow!! really Hyram really has got to be heard with his phenomenal abilities to almost time travel with you with his musicality. This song has that in it and Hyram is simply put amazing talent and his work is masterful & a real joy to listen to. As I listened further to this miraculous album “Equinox” came on and Hyram once again awe struck me and my musical pallet and his music is soothing and fresh and invigorating to the soul. “Midnite on the Conchas” another phenomenal piece of music and this guy Hyram has a sound that reaches deep within my soul and extends through my mind and takes me away which is my meadow, or to a place of relaxation and total peace within. “October Moon” and The song “Freedom are just another superbly masterful & songs that continually add to the full spectrum of this tremendous album. With the song “House of the Rising Sun” Hyram puts his super spin on this classic song and I really enjoyed his interpretation of through his superb and mastery of the fiddle & not to mention his full intellect of the other instruments that he has mastered. “Skinner Back” is another song that incorporates Hyrams fiddle with an almost bluesy feel and I could feel his emotional value that he conveys with his total musicality throughout this amazingly and quite honestly blown away by his talents, with all the musicians that I have written reviews on Hyram brings a sound that I have never been exposed to, however is very expressive within his music and can hear his passion throughout. “Zeta Blues” is that kind of song where the blues feel comes out within his total encompassing and true talent as a multi instrumentalist and that I feel is what Hyram projects on his music on this album and many more that he has been involved with. Hyram and his superb music should not be categorized as any one genre of music, he needs to be in my opinion just a great musician and a wonderful one at that. “Babies and Bows” the last track on this outstanding album Hyram doesn’t stop his total grasp and wonderful emotionally charged music take it to the top and beyond. I am very truly blessed to be writing this review on such a music legend. I thank Hyram for his wonderful gift of music and I also thank him for his wonderful friendship as well, I must say from speaking with Hyram on the phone and with his gracious and wonderfulness and even going to the point of letting m know if I’m ever in Nashville to look him up & he would do anything to assist me. If you are into superb music you’ll need to have & own this amazing and superb album in your collection, it’s called “Electrified” by the legend, & a true friend of mine Hyram Posey.
