As I began to formulate and listen to the latest music from country gal and wonderful amazing music artist Karisa Kay, a gospel album called “Secret Weapon” where Karisa really pulls out and showcases her magnificent musical diversity & style. The Album starts out with a punch the song is called “High On Jesus” and Karisa has that sound that is just simply put amazing the song with her vocals brings elements of pop country with a whole lot of enthusiasm and Karisa and her vocals were at times Dolly Parton sounding and her band is phenomenal and talented.
It’s been a while since I reviewed Karisa with her first album called “Somebody To Love”. Karisa with this album launches off a whole lot of fire and is a supreme example of how music needs to be heard. Karisa shows her total colors with the next song called “The Other Side Of The Tapestry” and I really love this song it has punch, and a whole lotta rhythm and Karisa has found her niche with this song it matches her just right. With this album I really felt that Karisa is at home and shows her tremendous musicality woven within this amazing assortment of spiritual and positive songs. “If That’s Not Faith” Karisa once again proves who she is as a singer and bringing in her just right vocals and matched with the music that accompanies her throughout this marvelous music album.
“You’ve Been Forgiven” is once again a song that just fits and Karisa brings in her true colors and shines. “Fight In Prayer” Throughout my listening experience on this album I kept thinking that this is a truly remarkable album and Karisa really shows us her message that comes across on all the songs that she sings on this album and I felt her true convictions through the amazing vibes throughout the whole album. “Secret Weapon” a song that Karisa really brings in her true honesty and I most definite felt her heart and soul was within this song and throughout this truly amazing and truly emotional music album. “Where are your Men At” another song that Karisa just allows you to really and truly feel her emotional value brought to her beautiful music. “My Identity” Wow! what an amazing song and really shows Karisa and her maturity through her amazing and positive feelings brought through within her pointed and heartfelt songbook within this album.
“Fill Me Up” Karisa really has something here, Karisa has that true and honest sound and the feelings are real and I felt those feelings all the way through this marvelous and spiritually fulfilling album. Karisa has talent no matter what music she sings, however, with this album Karisa has brought her real style shining through and I love this album. Karisa has made an impact on my heart throughout this album with her sheer honesty and maturity. “Thank you Lord & Mama” Karisa once again shows who she is as a singer and with amazing vulnerability throughout this song and what a complete honest and heartfelt song that truly touches the heart. “Make Me A Diamond Lord” Karisa allows you to feel her strength on her amazing voice that hits the notes just right and her vocals are so truly honest and allowed me to feel her passion and hear her spiritual message
. “Down On My Knees” this is an amazing example of how much pureness and conviction that Karisa presents with her beautiful gift of song and talent. This song hit home on a personal level and allowed me to think of how many times I’ve spent praying, down on my knees and this song has that feeling of humility that we all should have in our lives. “When The Rapture Comes” Karisa continues to show and sing from her heart and about, what really matters in life, and this song & the whole album presents who Karisa is as a singer and who she’s gonna be in the future. Karisa is an amazing singer from her pop country music to this amazing and so very heartfelt music album which crosses over all music paths. A spiritual heartfelt and emotionally fulfilling album from a truly spiritual individual Karisa Kay, with true and heartfelt, honest music that is a true gift in my life & my hopes for yours as well. I thank Karisa Kay for filling that spiritual side and cementing my emotional feelings about life & how important life is with the Lord at our side.
