As I listened to the latest album and what I believe to be her over 90 songs, so far. The album is called Sweet T, from the incredibly talented and amazing person Tamanie Dove. From her beautiful creation department Tamanie keeps the proverbial music ball rolling on with this incredible definition of pure talent at it’s finest. This album starts out with the song called “Sweet T, where I understand this derives from what one of her close friends calls her “Sweet T, short for Sweet Tamanie, and this in my opinion describes who Tamanie is as a person, as well as a true music artist. Always creative and taking the next step in her wonderful & explosive career. The song itself has a thump and a real bluesy and funky sound to it, where Tamanie has that forever ability to make the sound come alive through her vocal range and this song is a fine example of this. “LoveSick” the next song on this song has a funky bow wow rhythm and bounce to it where Tamanie expresses her musicality through her way of truly painting a picture of the song that she is singing and this song, like all of her songs have substance and real life feelings and emotional attachment to them Tamanie showcases her true talents on this song. Along side Tamanie on this album, is her talented song Matt Mercer showcasing his superb production skills. The next song is called “Sellout” and the musicality is really one to be reckoned with, where Tamanie utilizes the complete sound and her sound is unbelievable and is unique and adds flares from all genre with in the same song and makes it sound extraordinary. I always as a writer of reviews look forward to hearing what’s new for Tamanie, and she never lets me down, Tamanie is the kind of person is what you hear is what you get, she is a real musician and a real person in which her persona in her music reflects this ever so much. “One Guitar’ has a almost bluesy flare to it and, quite honestly Tamanie could sing the Websters Dictionary to me & I would be impressed. Tamanie has a smoozy, and a real funky sound to this song that keeps the hints of blues. Tamanie in her rap kind of way. the up close & touchy way she has always had that ability to reach out to you as a listener and where her total musicality is totally awesome and this is what truly attracted me to her always consistent sound that is evident in every song that she sings. With the next song starting it brings in an almost digital and futuristic sound that is unmatched and Tamanie has really impressed me with her total musical diversity in each song & make the sound unreal and fantasy feeling to it. With this song this is where you can really feel & hear that sound that I am speaking of. Tamanie’s music always has substance & true meaning and this next song called called “Raider of the Lost Heart” and Tamanie brings in the element of a real western feel to it and at times a little “flamenco ish” added in for good measure. As I listened to the album I realize that Tamanie has a magical presence to her music that pours through her veins of her total musical talents and is outstanding, and loved. There is only one Tamnie Dove and with this album Tamanie showcases her tremendous gift of rhythm and the next song is a true example of this style the song called “Getaway” Tamanie has an almost Jazz, sound to it with the incredible horn section makes the sound of Tamanie’s vocals really align with the stars and this song is a total hit song, and I love it. As I listened further into the miraculous and wonderful album Tamanie & her unreal sound and talent comes alive with this song called “Mean” and the element of blues comes out, within Tamanie’s clear & precise way of way of being so expressive in all her songs. This is a fine example of her way that she sings within the song at hand, and that is total musicianship, at it’s finest. Tamanie has a sound that can’t & won’t be compared to anyone, and never will be by me. Tamanie is herself in all her tremendous music and continues to really mix it up and is refreshing, and nice not to hear music and not sounding like the rest. With the next song called “Two 4 Two” is a little mellow ballad and Tamanie vocals and music is spot on and her smoothness is unreal and very emotionally touching and I love this song, and is probably my favorite because of the feelings that I received while listening to it. Well, Well I stand corrected, I must admit , it was over 3 months ago where Tamanie, had told me that she had written a song about me & for me, and what an incredible honor & blessing and a true emotional experience for me. This song called “Midas Man” was written by Tamanie & about me and for me. I have never had a song written about me or for me, until now. The song sums up what I hear Tamanie calls me her “Midas Man” and to quote ” It’s Been said that Charms are magic, nothing tragic about the way things turn out for you” I am usually the person doing the writing, however in this case Tamanie is the writer. I am so incredibly honored & blessed to have a song written for & about me and will forever be indebted to her for this. In recent conversations with Tamanie, she agreed with me that my Shit has come in, now it’s time for my ship to arrive and this is gonna be my year. So I must admit this is my favorite song o the album. Along with these emotional moments and I listen to this wonderful album, the last song arrives, the song is called ” Lifetime of Smiles” Tamanie rings in her tremendous song and her incredible gift of love and emotions through this incredible song, where she shares that beauty that we all have and has & shares her always positive outlook on all who she comes in contact with. The song is a lovely ballad, that brings in that wonderful attitude that is contagious and most welcomed in my world. Speaking of contagious. with this in mind, that is how I feel and describe how Tamanie and her always beautiful & expressive music and love enduring gift of song will always be a part of my life. Words can sometimes not say enough, so the best way I can describe Tamanie’s new album is a tremendous gift of love from her heart and soul to us all. Where this album has a special place in my heart & I thank Tamanie for her incredible friendship & all she shares with me as a music journalist and her amazing support for what I do. I forever look forward to hearing that she has something “New” and I am sure she knows that is the key words for me it’s time to begin another part of my musical journey as a writer & a forever fan of the one, the only, that provides a “Lifetime of Smiles” for me, Tamanie Dove.
